The Swiss Parliament enacts Swiss financial legislation (acts and ordinances) and the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), Switzerland’s regulator, issues circulars that stipulate how it must be applied. While some of these laws and circulars have been translated into English by the legislator itself, most have not. KPMG therefore offers translations as a service to its clients and others.
Please note that these are unofficial translations that have been reviewed by a subject matter expert. This means that they should be considered as an aid but ultimately, it is only the German, French or Italian versions as published by the relevant authority that are legally binding.
Should you need further help with a case or a project, KPMG Switzerland will gladly stand by your side to help. Whether you are knee-deep in an IFRS conversion project, need input on risk management issues or would like anti-money laundering training across your group – we do it all and then some. Finance is our world and we are glad to share our insights and know-how with you. Our experts cover everything from legal aspects to technology, and will make sure that you will comply with the latest applicable laws.
