David Cummings

David practices across all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, including:

• complex employment advisory services in respect of executive and boardroom disputes, senior hires and exits, transformation and restructuring, discrimination, whistleblowing, confidentiality and restrictive covenants; 
  
• employment litigation in both the specialist UK employment tribunals and superior courts;
• international employment law (both cross-border transactions and transnational employment projects); and 
• corporate and banking transactional employment law support and solutions. 

David practices across a number of sectors, but he has a particular focus and expertise in banking and financial services and the ever increasing intersection of employment law and financial services regulation in respect of high stakes employment aspects of regulatory enforcement issues and investigations (from both a conduct and remuneration perspective), supported by expertise in remuneration regulation.  In this context, David is relied upon by clients to advise on difficult, nuanced and integrated judgment calls and decisions across legal, risk, compliance, reward and HR, with serious legal, regulatory and often franchise risk consequences for clients and their employees.  He regularly collaborates with colleagues across the KPMG legal and non-legal services platform, deploying and integrating tax & legal, consulting, reward.
