Aishat Akinwale

Aishat works with clients across a range of sectors in the UK on accounting and corporate reporting issues. This includes the interpretation and application of IFRS Standards, accounting for sustainability matters in the financial statements and implementation of mandatory UK strategic and governance reporting requirements.

In her previous role, Aishat was a technical staff at the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) for four years, working on many IASB technical projects including on leases, supplier financing, disclosures and contributing to various stakeholder publications. She began her accounting career as a postgraduate technical assistant with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) in the United States.

Her previous roles in standard setting have contributed to her understanding of various stakeholder needs and best practices on investor-relevant disclosures in annual reports and accounts.
