The Australian Taxation Office has extended the due date for certain taxpayers whose tax returns are due on 15 May to 5 June.

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has extended the due date for certain taxpayers whose tax returns are due on 15 May to 5 June.

  • Individuals, partnerships, and trusts may file their tax returns by 5 June without penalties, provided that any payments required are also made by this date.
  • Companies and super funds (excluding large and medium taxpayers and head companies of consolidated groups) may file their returns by 5 June without penalties if both the prior and current year return will be non-taxable or result in a refund.
