The Colombian government submitted for debate before the Congress a proposal containing the new labor reform, which includes some of the provisions presented in the first proposal in modified form and also introduces new provisions.

The proposed provisions relate to:

  • Reinforced labor stability
  • Employment contracting
  • Apprenticeship contract
  • Telecommuting modalities
  • Automation processes and decarbonisation
  • Severance for employment contract’s termination without fair cause
  • Contractors and subcontractors
  • Digital platforms
  • Additional obligations for the employer
  • Paternity leave
  • Maternity and paternity leave for same-sex couples
  • Transnational teleworking
  • Remuneration and working hours
  • Collective labor law
  • Discrimination
  • Statute of limitations
