Argentina: Update on ratification of MLI
Approved by the permanent legislative Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies
The MLI must be approved by Argentina Chamber of Deputies and the Chamber of Senators
The Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI) was approved by the permanent legislative Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies on 8 November 2022.
The MLI, which was signed by Argentina on 7 June 2017 and would cover 17 tax agreements executed by Argentina, is expected to be further reviewed by the legislative Committee of Budget and Finance.
In order to be enacted into law, the MLI must be approved by both the Argentina Chamber of Deputies and the Chamber of Senators.
