Danielle is a partner at KPMG's sustainability practice with over 25 years of experience in the field of Assurance (audit), Governance, Risk & Compliance and sustainability. She is passionate about Sustainability Assurance, Integrated reporting and Corporate Governance.

Prior to joining KPMG Danielle worked as Vice president Global Risk and Control at Wolters Kluwer, AFM audit supervision and has been a CFO for a multinational NGO. For more than 12 years Danielle lecturers Corporate Governance at Nyenrode Business University. She started her career at KPMG as an auditor.

At KPMG Danielle is responsible for Assurance on Sustainability. Danielle has substantial experience in working with stock listed and non-stock listed companies. She has worked on projects with clients to enforce strategy, implement Code of Conducts, set up frameworks to identify, quantify, mitigate risks and evaluated the impact of these activities. She builds on her convening power and ability to balance sometimes opposing interests in finding effective ways to collaborate in a national as well as a global context. She is experienced in leading and empowering multi-disciplinary teams.
