KPMG Corporate Finance Inc. acted as the financial advisor to the shareholders of Smiths' Agency (Regina) Ltd. (“Smiths’”) on its sale to Navacord Inc. (“Navacord”). KPMG’s Tax team provided structuring advice for the transaction.

Founded in 1980 by Dan and Carol Smith, Smiths’ offers a full suite of insurance services including home, auto, commercial and travel insurance in Regina, Saskatchewan. 

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Navacord is a leader in risk management services with more than $1 billion in premiums. Navacord leverages its national strength and resources with the local-touch service of industry-specialized Navacord Broker Partners to deliver trusted advice and informed insurance solutions.

Smiths’ represents Navacord’s third brokerage acquisition in the province of Saskatchewan.
