KPMG Corporate Finance acted as financial advisor to Onyx-Fire Protection Services Inc. (“Onyx” or the “Company”) on the sale of the Company to TorQuest Partners (“TorQuest”).

Onyx is a Canadian fire protection and life safety service provider, with a well established reputation across Ontario. Onyx’s principal service offerings include: routine inspection of fire and sprinkler systems; attending to on-demand service calls and deficiency related repair requests on various systems, panels, and sprinkler parts; installation and retrofit projects for fire alarm and sprinkler systems. The Company is based in the Greater Toronto Area and services a large and diverse customer base across an array of end-markets. Onyx’s services are provided by their highly skilled and experienced technicians, sprinkler fitters, electricians, project managers and estimators.

TorQuest Partners is a Toronto-based private equity firm, focused on middle market private equity opportunities in Canada and the United States. TorQuest manages more than $3.0 billion of equity capital for its investors.
