Healthcare - Audiology services

KPMG Corporate Finance acted as the financial advisor to the shareholders of Carolyn Palaga Audiology Services Inc. (“CPAS”) on its divestiture to National Hearing Services Inc. (“NHS”).

Headquartered in Kamloops, British Columbia (“BC”), CPAS has a long history operating in the audiology services industry. CPAS was founded in 1995 when they opened Sahali Professional Hearing Services located in Kamloops, BC. A second location in Kamloops, BC, Fortune Centre Hearing Clinic, opened in 1997 and in 2000 the company expanded to Merritt, BC with Merritt Hearing Clinic. CPAS, through its clinical audiologists, offers full service professional treatment including evaluating, diagnosing, treating and managing hearing loss and other hearing-related disorders.

NHS, operating as Connect Hearing Canada, is the largest network of registered audiologists and professional hearing instrument practitioners in Canada. Since 2008, Connect Hearing Canada has been a part of the Sonova Group, a Switzerland based company that is one of the leading providers of innovative hearing care solutions. The acquisition of CPAS will introduce NHS to the Kamloops, BC market and complement the over 140 Connect Hearing Canada clinics they currently operate across Canada.
