In the zone of the unknown: Governing in challenging times

KPMG Board Leadership Centre webcast

KPMG Board Leadership Centre webcast

Man looking out window

In this webcast, our panel of subject matter experts along with KPMG's Board Leadership Centre co-chairs, shared insights on how boards can effectively govern and lead in times of challenge or uncertainty.

The discussion focused on the importance of fostering an environment of open and honest communication between boards and management as they prepare for a potential crisis that hopefully never happens. The underlying message to directors is to channel your inner restructuring advisor and do not be afraid to ask for help or more information. Whether that is getting ahead of a looming crisis by actively looking at what's lurking around the corner, asking for more detailed financial reporting to perform due diligence, or ensuring that the right people with the right backgrounds are present at the table, board members must unlock the answers by asking the right questions.
