Lisa is a senior associate in KPMG Law’s Tax Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Toronto. Prior to joining KPMG Law, she practiced at a law firm affiliated with another Big Four accounting firm. Lisa has also served as a judicial clerk to justices of the Tax Court of Canada. 

Lisa frequently resolves income tax and indirect tax related disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency for corporate and high-net worth individual taxpayers. Her practice also includes assisting clients through the voluntary disclosure process and in requesting taxpayer relief. Lisa has appeared before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Lisa has experience in a broad range of substantive tax issues, including transfer pricing and other international tax issues, the general-anti avoidance rule (GAAR), director’s liability, residency, offshore investment funds, goods and sales tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST), and various provincial taxes.
