Larry Toste

Larry has knowledge and training in financial reporting for IFRS, Canadian GAAP and U.S. GAAP as well as industry specific accounting requirements. Larry has served as lead audit partner to many of Canada’s largest public and private real estate and construction clients.  

His audit experience includes performing audits of REITs, both public and private corporations and investment funds in the real estate and construction sector.  He has led several special projects including cross-border acquisitions, private placements, initial public offerings and financial due diligence as well as providing assistance to clients in their application of accounting standards to complex transactions.  Larry is also a designated Securities Reviewing Partner and serves as the engagement quality reviewing partner on various clients.

Larry was a member of KPMGs Audit Leadership Team that manages the activities of the audit practice in the GTA and is a member of the Leasing Technical Topic Team. He is actively involved in public speaking including the presentation of various accounting topics with ACUMEN and KPMG Information Sessions to real estate and construction industry.
