Peter B. Sahagian

Peter Sahagian is a partner and  Special Counsel to the Office of CEO of KPMG LLP (Canada).  In this role Peter provides advice on a wide variety of matters and special projects.  Peter is also a Member of the Operating Committee of KPMG Law LLP. 

Peter served as General Counsel for KPMG in Canada from 1989 through 2020.

Prior to joining KPMG as General Counsel in 1989, Peter was a member of the General Counsel’s office at a major financial services company where he was responsible for a wide variety of domestic and international litigation. Prior to, Peter practiced civil litigation in private practice in Toronto for approximately 10 years.

Peter serves as a member of the Canadian Advisory Board for the Conflict Prevention & Resolution Institute and is a member of the Task Force on ADR and Arbitration of the International Commercial Court. In 2008 Peter Sahagian received the Canadian General Counsel Award for Litigation Management.
