Mohammad Nadeem

With more than 20 years of experience, Mohammad is an Executive Director at KPMG in Canada’s Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Canadian Corporate Tax practice. 

Throughout his career with KPMG, Mohammad has provided Canadian income tax compliance and advisory services to a broad range of national and multinational clients engaged in diverse activities including renewable power generation, real estate, and manufacturing. Mohammad has extensive experience in the renewable power generation sector and foreign assets-based REITs. He has been involved in several tax advisory and compliance engagements, including performing tax due diligence engagements for buyers; designing tax-efficient acquisition structures and providing assistance in the implementation of plans for buyers; designing seller side exit plans including assistance in the seller-side due diligence engagements; and on-going planning and restructuring, including cross-border financing plans to ensure tax structures continue to operate in a tax-efficient manner.

Mohammad also has significant experience in dealing with Canadian tax matters relating to publicly traded trusts (income funds) and REITs including public offerings, acquisitions, dispositions, tax modeling for offering documents and ongoing tax planning and compliance matters. 

On top of Mohammad’s work experience, he leads and participates in various diversity and community initiatives both inside and outside KPMG.
