Luc D. Lucato

Luc has 20 years of experience as an indirect tax practitioner. 

Luc has led successful large scale indirect tax projects for high profile clients across Canada, many of these clients in the consumer markets and industrial sectors. 

Luc has also assisted clients with US - Indirect tax and Global VAT projects.

Luc has extensive experience working with organizations such as retailers, manufactures and product distribution companies.

In addition to recovering overpayments of indirect tax, Luc advises clients on how to improve tax reporting and disbursements systems to reduce costs and risks.

Throughout the transition to HST in Ontario and De-Harmonization in British Columbia, Luc assisted many clients with their preparations for the transition by providing customized workshops and resolving their compliance issues. He has been successful in acting as a liaison between KPMG clients and taxing authorities, preparing ruling requests, resolving potential and formal assessments, preparing notices of objections and appeals to tax assessments.

Luc has had significant success in identifying sales tax and disbursement recovery opportunities and in developing specialized client-specific tax minimization strategies for our clients. He employs innovative tax recovery ideas and has extensive knowledge of imaging technology, data mining and electronic grouping techniques.
