Barb brings over 25 years of experience assisting companies and audit teams in dealing with accounting change associated with transactions and new standards. She has extensive experience with cross-border issues, such as the differences between IFRS and U.S. accounting principles and accounting and securities requirements associated with transactions such as business combinations, strategic investments, carve-outs and financings. Barb is a member of our National Technical Topic Teams on Financial Instruments and Accounting for Income Taxes and is a member of our Canadian and U.S. Financial Instrument and Derivative resource networks. Barb is a regular presenter at technical presentations hosted by KPMG and has instructed numerous external courses. Barb is a Chartered Professional Accountant in British Columbia and was a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado for over 25 years.
