On Tuesday 4 June from 17:30-21:30, we invite you to a seminar on Anchoring ESG in Governance. Navigating through ESG governance is paramount for board members as it shapes the sustainability future of your organization and ensures commitments are maintained and delivered over the long term.

Michael Wagemans, Head of Sustainability, and An Vanderhulst, Principal Enterprise Risk & Assurance at KPMG in Belgium, will first share their insights on the current challenges in ESG governance and related operating models. They will also include insights from a recent KPMG International study in this regard, which revealed that that many organizations are still developing in maturity, balancing structure, integration and flexibility.

We will then bring this to life through the example of UCB’s journey in an interview with Charlotte Ersbøll, Chair of UCB’s External Sustainability Advisory Board, and Pierre Gurdjian, Board Member of UCB. We’ll look at their ESG strategy; the history of their External Sustainability Advisory Board, its future evolutions, and the added value it brings; their way of working; key realizations and more.
