With recent disruptions to workplaces resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak, a number of organisations are implementing measures for employees to work remotely.
While the measures are necessary to contain the impact of the outbreak, many enterprises remain underprepared for such large scale, offsite and segregated work locations. Recently, there have been increased instances of phishing and related cyber-attacks exploiting the situation.
Given that organisations need to ensure the safety of their employees, while containing the financial impacts, the last thing management wants is to be on the wrong side of employment law or face a security breach.
