Henning Opperman

Henning has more than 20 years of experience in external audit, specifically in the Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) sector of KPMG. Henning is involved with listed external mining audits. These clients include large SEC listed mining clients and well as JSE listed clients. Henning’s audit partner experience includes the group signing partner for global SEC listed and JSE listed entities. Further, Henning was also involved in numerous mining operations external audits in the gold, platinum, coal and chrome markets. Henning also has experience in the oil and chemicals and construction sectors. Henning has assisted clients with their new listing on the JSE and NYSE, as well as regulatory reporting due to significant acquisitions, issue of listed debt structures and registration statements in the US. Henning has experience in providing practical accounting advice on the implementation and interpretation of new and complex IFRSs for clients and KPMG staff. Henning was the technical advisor on several IFRS reporters, ranging from full IFRS conversions to implementation of new and complex standards, inside and outside of South Africa.
