Fritz Dannhauser

Fritz is a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of professional experience. He has been with KPMG since 1995, except for 2 years spent in the Information Technology industry as a financial manager. He is director within the Management Consulting practice at KPMG, South Africa. He has played various leadership roles on both a project and business level. These include leading various large programmes teams and playing a leadership role within the South African Practice focused on business transformation, financial transformation projects and shared services.

He led a project focused on an operating model transformation engagement for a South African motor financing company. The project entailed aligning the operating model to the long-term strategic objectives of the organisation and included establishing digital customer and service channels, a single view of the customer, the allocation of roles and responsibilities in terms of the delivery model, governance structures for outsource providers etc.

Fritz provided strategic input to a shared services project being executed by a South African media company. He compared the project objective, activities, artefacts and deliverables against prior experience and KPMG leading practice to provide management with a view of project risks and mitigating actions to be considered.

Fritz was the finance lead on a global KPMG consulting team assisting a major telecommunication provider to deliver a back office shared services project for its African and Middle East operations (18 different locations). The project team size was in excess of 100 people and it was Fritz’s responsibility to develop the global finance template and ensure that the template is appropriate configured and implemented in the various countries. The team comprised of staff members from the client, the system integrator and the software provider. He played a strategic oversight role on a full-time basis.
