CA Advisory Graduate Programme

KPMG is delighted to offer the Advisory CA(SA) Training Programme – a first for the Audit and Accounting Profession in South Africa, with the full support of SAICA and the universities approached thus far.

Essentially, this ground-breaking programme offers graduates an alternative to the more traditional audit route in qualifying as Chartered Accountants. From KPMG’s point of view, this is all about gaining additional  aspirant professionals from the best available talent and not simply re-allocating our people in training contracts from Audit to Advisory.

Team members will be allocated to specific client engagements to ensure that they receive the proper training to allow them to qualify through this programme. There are a number of synergies primarily during peaks and troughs in our business cycles, with an anticipated flow of people working together across the business. The programme presents different challenges and opportunities to our increasingly diverse outstanding professionals across the firm. It also talks directly to our commitment to youth development, education and transformation.

KPMG is the first to go to market with this – a bold, innovative and forward thinking initiative. The programme was piloted in 2015 (with a limited number of candidates) and is now fully operational. This is a significant step forward in meeting the on-going challenges of skills shortages and transformation of the profession.

This programme allows individuals with a passion in advisory to fast-track their start in this sphere, while still attaining the valuable CA qualification.

To be considered for the CA Advisory graduate programme you have to hold a Training Contract in External Audit.

Towards the end of the CTA / Honours year, all signed students will be given an opportunity to apply for this programme.
