KPMG is pleased to announce that starting today, Cyber Security professionals from member firms around the world will once again be going into their communities and hosting cyber security educational sessions for students as part of KPMG's annual Cyber Day initiative.

Launched in October 2017, the program aims to educate today's youth about the importance of cyber security and online safety. Building on the success of last year's inaugural event held on a single day, this year, KPMG is expanding the program to make every Friday in October an official KPMG Cyber Day.

Nearly 50 countries will participate in the initiative this year, including the UK, the US, Spain and China, among many more. KPMG member firms will host one or multiple educational sessions, led by KPMG professionals from their local Cyber Security practices.

Media are invited to reach out to local KPMG member firms for more information about the initiative and the local events being held in various countries and jurisdictions. Representatives from local Cyber Security practices will be available to answer questions about the global initiative and discuss KPMG's ongoing commitment to supporting Life Long Learning.

Spokespeople can address the following:

  • The top 3 things young people need to know about cyber security.
  • The cyber safety tips every parent should know and how they can help protect their children online.
  • The role that cyber security plays in KPMG's commitment to citizenship and prioritization of Quality Education and Lifelong Learning.
  • The impact that cyber security is having on society and business, and what the future might hold.
