Female entrepreneurs - the ones to watch!
Much of the economic impact, innovation and job creation in the world has its origins in new businesses. And women entrepreneurs represent about one-third of the growth-oriented entrepreneurs who are active in the world today.1 That’s a lot of impact.
These are women who are not only making major contributions to the global economy, but also helping to make the world a better place to live and work. They’re futurists, tech entrepreneurs, and innovators who are breaking the mold. And they’re building businesses that are helping to create a better and healthier world for us all.

As a signatory to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, KPMG is committed to empowering women such as these in the workplace, marketplace and community. The UN principles lay a foundation for our efforts to help create a world where everyone is treated fairly and gender, race and identity are not barriers to fulfillment.
The world is changing rapidly, and the lines are blurring between large, established companies and fast-growth startups ... traditional and next-generation industries ... global and local businesses ... and women’s and men’s roles. As the UN principles so clearly state, “equality means business” and we believe we have a responsibility to shape and lead on many issues related to the empowerment of women in business and society.
Women as leaders in sustainability
Diversity and inclusiveness, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship: these are just some of the many areas where we believe – as businesses and as individuals – we must come together to build a healthier planet and a stronger society. Women innovators and entrepreneurs are stepping up to the challenge and doing just that.
More and more of the world’s most promising innovators and next-generation business creators are women founders and entrepreneurs. They come from every part of the world and background, and they’re making the world a better and more sustainable place to live and work. Most are driven by a personal passion for a particular cause, or a problem that needs to be addressed in a creative way. They’re inspiring and energizing, and introducing amazing innovations that are tackling some of the most important business, environmental and social problems that impact everyone on the planet. I’m amazed by the brilliant new ideas and solutions they bring to the world every day, and I can’t wait to see what is coming next.
These are definitely women to watch, and we’re pleased to give you the opportunity to hear two of their personal stories, and the passion and purpose that drives them, in these exclusive video introductions.
