Our ADM Maturity Assessment includes our Maturity Benchmark, a global KPMG initiative that collects and evaluates ADM maturity in companies regardless of size, region of operation or industry type. The ADM Maturity Assessment is the first step in becoming a true data-driven business and features the following advantages:

  • Quick insights into the current and desired maturity level, helping to understand overall gaps and steps required for ADM improvement;

In 2020, more than 60 companies from around the world participated in our ADM Maturity Benchmark initiative. The results show that most organisations are not yet at the level whereby ADM Capabilities are part of standard business processes, as most ADM activities are ad hoc and reactive – leading to generally low average ADM maturity levels both overall and in individual disciplines. For instance, the findings from this initiative have shown that companies with an established role of Chief Data Officer (CDO), responsible for the definition of the data-management vision and strategy, have scored 42 percent higher on average in overall ADM maturity.
