Notice 2019-31 provides the inflation adjustment factor with respect to the credit for carbon oxide sequestration under section 45Q for calendar year 2019.

Notice 2019-31 appears in Internal Revenue Bulletin 2019-20 [PDF 911 KB] (dated May 13, 2019) to provide:

  • The inflation adjustment factor for 2019 is 1.1702.
  • The section 45Q credit for 2019 is $23.40 per metric ton of qualified carbon oxide under section 45Q(a)(1), and $11.70 per metric ton of qualified carbon oxide under section 45Q(a)(2).
