  • Guidance (DGT-ICD-R-14-2019, 3 April 2019) concerns a transparency and ultimate beneficial owner registry. The resolution establishes information that must be provided by taxpayers and legal entities listed on the stock exchange or located abroad.
  • The monthly filing of the value added tax (VAT) return will begin to be mandatory in August 2019. Taxpayers will need to identify transactions subject to VAT.
  • The effective date of a single Central American declaration form (DUCA) has been extended to 7 May 2019.
  • An agreement between Costa Rica and Italy for the exchange of information in tax matters has been published by Costa Rica.
