The Dutch tax administration published a document in response to parliamentary questions about the effects of FATCA for U.S. persons who are residents of the Netherlands.

According to the answers provided by the tax administration, U.S. persons who are residents of the Netherlands will have their bank accounts blocked or terminated if a U.S. taxpayer identification number (e.g., social security number) is not provided.
