The recent 2018 KPMG Global Power & Utilities Conference discussed the growing demand for renewables, disruption, innovation, the transition to a low carbon economy and the demand for electricity. Throughout the day a common theme became apparent: there is a growing convergence between sectors including power, transportation, infrastructure, oil and gas, renewable energy and smart cities initiatives.
As increased sector convergence and global attention to transitioning to a lower carbon economy intensifies, we have decided to reflect this global outlook at the conference by renaming and changing the theme of KPMG Global Power & Utilities Conference to the Global Energy Transformation Conference. This change will allow us to expand the focus of the conference to be broader, more comprehensive and all-encompassing of the issues sectors need to address in an era of energy transformation.
Please save the date for the upcoming Global Energy Transformation Conference (GETC). This year the conference will take place in beautiful Paris, France at The Westin Paris on 6 November 2019.
