Italy: Income tax treaties with Barbados and Panama

Italy’s network of income tax treaties has expanded with the entry into force of tax treaties with Barbados and Panama.

Both treaties provide for withholding tax rates on dividends, interest, and royalties. There are rules concerning the taxation of capital gains, a definition of permanent establishment, and measures for OECD-compliant exchange of information rules.
