KPMG in India stepped in with its technology experience to transform the hypermarket’s operations through an IoT platform, automating the monitoring and tracking of its cold storage units.
The new IoT platform provides a 360 degree view of high energy consumption assets such as cold storage units/chillers and air conditioners, minimizing wastage of perishable items and also reducing labor costs. KPMG in India also created a remotely monitored asset management system, allowing SPAR Hypermarket to monitor the health of these assets and pre-schedule maintenance.
Managing and monitoring the assets more effectively has led to an enhanced shopping experience for customers. With plans to scale up even more operational improvements, SPAR Hypermarket is well positioned to take its store services to the next level.
