Brazil: New schedule for eSocial reporting program

Guidance from the Comitê Diretivo do eSocial (CDeS) modifies an earlier schedule for implementing a program for unifying and digitizing tax, labor, and social security reporting obligations.

Companies having revenues in excess of R $78 million in 2016 were originally expected to comply with the new program (referred to as “eSocial”) as of 1 January 2018. All other entities will be required to comply with the programs beginning 1 July 2018. Read TaxNewsFlash-Americas

Companies requested more time to adjust their systems in order to implement the eSocial program. Accordingly, the new CDeS resolution provides a new phase-in implementation schedule.
