The new system—Servicio Integral de Registro de Obras de Construcción (Siroc)—was launched 1 July 2017, and use of the Siroc system will be mandatory beginning 1 September 2017.  The Siroc registration system will:

  • Reduce the number of construction project registration notices from six to one
  • Reduce the number of fields to be completed on the registration notice forms from 600 to 38
  • Reduce the filling time of the “four-hour warnings” (on average, reduced to 10 minutes)
  • Facilitate employer consultations of the registered construction projects
