Large companies may indirectly benefit from public financial assistance being offered to their sub-suppliers in the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) sector.

Financial support is provided through activities such as the creation of technology bases for SMEs to produce and implement new products, as well as operating costs related to the development of new products, services, and processes. Also, funding may be available for rebuilding and expanding buildings, and for purchasing machinery and equipment necessary to bring new innovations to market.
