South Africa: Third-party data annual submissions open

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) on 1 April 2017, opened the third-party data annual submissions process for the period 1 March 2016 – 28 February 2017. Submissions will be accepted until 31 May 2017.

The third-party data annual submission process includes a trade test platform, which is open until 12 May 2017, and a production platform. Production submissions will be accepted from 13 May 2017 until 31 May 2017.

The notification advises financial institutions:

  • To use the SARS trade test platform prior to making the production submissions to make certain that the submissions are validated
  • With no financial accounts to report, are required to submit a "nil" file and a declaration form as proof
