Jane Williamson joined KPMG International (KPMGI) on 1, October 2019. From 2013 through 2019, Jane held a number of increasing senior positions with Canada’s audit regulator, the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) with the most recent being Senior Vice President, Audit Firm Regulation. Jane, prior to joining CPAB, was a senior financial executive from 2001 through 2013 with Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited, a Canadian publicly traded multi-national insurance and investment holding company. Jane also spent five years as a financial services audit partner with PwC prior to joining Fairfax.

Jane is a seasoned executive, with broad experience in financial services, public accounting and audit regulation. With extensive experience with Canadian and international companies, over the years she has provided leadership in: finance, change management, process improvement, strategic planning, forecasting, risk management and system implementation and has particular strength in collaborating with boards and at all levels within organizations, fostering positive change, productivity and morale.

As a key member of the Global Audit Leadership team, Jane has primary responsibility for matters relating to the global network’s audit regulatory relationships and works closely with all KPMGI leaders involved in the global networks’ audit quality activities. She plays a critical role to help drive and monitor improvements in audit quality consistently across the network and firmly believes that both the network and regulators have a significant role to play in protecting the public interest.
