Laurence Shulman is a member of the Global Rewards Services group of the firm’s GMS practice. He handles employee benefit issues, focusing on retirement plans, and other forms of equity and deferred compensation. He has worked extensively in helping clients comply with US payroll tax obligations arising from equity and other deferred compensation programs. He has also served as an instructor at many KPMG internal training sessions. Mr. Shulman is a national technical contact for qualified and nonqualified retirement plan matters, benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions, compliance reviews, and IRS audits and inquiries. Before joining KPMG’s Washington National Tax Compensation and Benefits Support group, he served as a consultant to clients, creating solutions for all types of benefits issues.
