David Sofrà is the National Lead Partner of KPMG’s Specialist Tax and Grants practice, Head of KPMG Payroll Connect and ASPAC Regional Lead-Employment Advisory. He joined KPMG as a Partner in 2014. Since then, he has advised many of Australia’s largest listed national and multinational public companies in all facets of employment-related advisory services. He leads KPMG Australia's Employment Tax Advisory practice, specialising in providing high value-adding solutions to corporate clients. He also leads KPMG Payroll Connect, offering holistic payroll outsourcing and deep advisory services that combine the expertise of industry leading employment tax and payroll specialists with a market-leading payroll digital platform.

David is also Head of KPMG's Fuel Tax Credit offering, a solution that combines the knowledge and expertise of KPMG's Fuel Tax Credit (FTC) specialists with market-leading GPS technology, advanced data science and automation to provide robust FTC claims as well as valuable insights on fleet performance and operations for broader business value.

David serves on numerous advisory committees and panels of industry. He serves on both the Australian Taxation Office's (ATO) Fuel Schemes Stakeholder Group and National Tax Liaison Group FBT Subcommittee, the Victorian State Revenue’s State Taxes Consultative Council as well as CPA Australia’s National Indirect Taxes Committee and the Taxation Institute of Australia’s State Taxes Committee.

David actively develops industry-leading thought leadership, is a published author and sought after media commentator, contributing to a range of industry publications and business forums on a national scale.
