Mr Sean Randall

Sean is Head of Stamp Taxes at KPMG UK, a group of eight full-time specialists that advise on all UK stamp taxes (stamp duty, stamp duty reserve tax, stamp duty land tax, annual tax on enveloped dwellings, land and buildings transaction tax and eventually land transaction tax) across a range of industry sectors. Examples of matters on which Sean and his team advise include: real estate acquisitions (including due diligence), restructuring, fund structuring, corporate reconstructions (including mergers and de-mergers), residential development schemes, dispute resolution and, outside real estate, fund transitions. Sean is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and council member of the Stamp Taxes Practitioners Group. For the last eight years he has written Sergeant & Sims on Stamp Taxes, the leading textbook on the subject. He has spoken at many tax conferences and written many articles on stamp taxes.
