As the Head of People, Performance & Culture (PPC), at KPMG in India, Shalini Pillay is responsible for all aspects of the HR function, encompassing manpower planning and talent acquisition, organisational design and development, learning and development, performance management, rewards and recognition, and employee relations. She is also a member of the India Leadership team, and the KPMG in India Board.

Shalini is an engineer from the University of Mumbai and a Chartered Accountant by background, and has been passionately pursuing a career in business consulting for close to 20 years. She has been involved in delivering a full range of business advisory and financial consulting services to clients across diverse industries.    

By working with many large and medium-sized organisations, Shalini has helped them define and realise their strategic objectives and growth targets.  She has also been engaged with several global, domestic and large family-run Indian business houses in evaluating their business operating models, where she has assisted them in their strategic cost management initiatives.  

Today, Shalini represents KPMG in India in several forums which focus on the ‘people agenda’ and work on analysing market dynamics, study evolving trends, and come up with new and path breaking approaches to address
employee needs.
