Grant McDonald is a KPMG partner in Canada with over 38 years’ experience. He is the Global and Canadian sector leader for KPMG’s Aerospace and Defence (A&D) Industry practice. In this role, Grant is responsible for staying abreast of the current issues facing aerospace and defence companies around the world and for sharing his knowledge with our clients and KPMG team members. Grant also serves both public and private Tier 1 companies in the A&D supply chain. He is a frequent speaker on topics of interest at industry gatherings such as the Farnborough and Paris airshows and is a member of industry associations including AIAC, CADSI, OAC and AIAC Pacific.
Grant is the Executive Relationship Partner of the Federal Government practice in Ottawa, and works closely with a number of key federal departments, agencies and crown corporations. In addition, Grant was the Office Managing Partner for KPMG in Ottawa for 10 years. In this role, Grant provided leadership to the Audit, Tax and Advisory functions and promoted client service excellence to our clients in the Ottawa area.
Grant is active in his community. He is a member of several volunteer Boards of Directors, including the Institute of Corporate Directors (Ottawa chapter) American Chamber of Commerce in Canada (Ottawa chapter) and the National Judicial Institute. Past board appointments include the National Arts Centre Foundation and the Canadian Club of Ottawa.
