Carolin has been at the forefront of global social and sustainable finance, impact investing and environmental markets for over 20 years. As a trusted impact strategist, she works at the intersection of government policy, capital markets and communities across developed and developing countries.
Carolin has a deep commitment to foster social prosperity and regenerative economic growth and advises governments on complex policy and strategy development. With a background in global capital markets and securitization, her principal area of focus includes the structuring of innovative financing solutions based on production from natural systems, including investments in land, oceans, sustainable agricultural land management practices, conservation, biodiversity across the full spectrum of the capital continuum, as well as the design of blended public-private systems change initiatives for nature-based decarbonization and circularity.
Carolin drives KPMG’s natural capital market engagement and thought leadership and represents KPMG on the Taskforce on Nature Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). She holds master’s degrees in banking and finance and post-graduate qualifications of social impact from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and University of New South Wales. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is an accredited multi-sector partnerships broker.
