Koen is a Partner in the Technology Assurance practice with KPMG N.V. in the Netherlands, specializing in helping the platform industry. He is also the Global Digital Services Act Assurance lead for KPMG International. Currently, Koen is supporting various Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs) and Very Large Online Platforms and Search Engines (VLOSEs) with the implementation of the Digital Services Act (DSA). Moreover, he is part of the European Connect Working Group (ECG), which challenges and advises the European Commission on the DSA audit standards. Koen has worked on various technology assurance-related data, privacy (i.e., GDPR) and AI projects, as well as technology audits, supporting the financial statement audit of large multinationals.
