Alexander grew up as the fourth generation of a German/Bavarian business-owning family. He is currently a family business advisor, working with medium-sized to large multinational family enterprises across Europe, Asia and the Gulf. His areas of expertise include family strategy, family business governance, succession, board of directors, family council, family office, family philanthropy, and family constitution. Alexander has worked as a commercial mediator and executive coach, he was also a non-executive board member of a family enterprise. He is often called upon as a speaker at events and is a lecturer on strategy and family business at two German business schools. Prior to returning to his work with KPMG, Alexander worked for a renowned family business advisory firm. Alexander has also authored several articles and books about family businesses and their governance; his most recent publications are “Governance in Family Enterprises”, “The Board”, and “The Family Office”.
