Mikael serves as the lead partner on several of the Firm’s leading alternative investments audit and advisory clients, and he provides advisory and audit services for major institutional investor clients (including endowments, foundations, and pension funds). In addition, he focuses the Firm’s advisory, tax and audit resources in the alternative investments market, assisting with the leadership of the Firm’s response to industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. He has 23 years of experience serving clients including hedge funds, managed account platforms, commodity pools, private equity funds, wealth management platforms, venture capital funds, infrastructure funds, funds of funds, hybrid products and their sponsors (including registered investment advisers and broker/dealers). His experience includes large institutional investor clients, providing client management and Board insight into current events and best practices in investment management as well as guidance on dealing with challenges in the investment management marketplace. Mikael has worked with a variety of US and global investment management clients, including the investment management groups of multinational financial institutions and diversified investment managers, large independent investment management firms, and start-up investment managers.
