David has over 25 years of cyber and information security expertise. Prior to joining KPMG, David was the Head of Cyber and Space for the Ministry of Defence in the UK. He has supported Ministerial policy development, worked with key international allies, created and delivered the Defence Cyber Security Programme, and contributed to both UK and Scottish national cyber security strategies. He has also held a range of senior MOD science, information technology and procurement roles. During his career, David set up MOD’s first penetration testing team, ran the first ever UK-US cyber war game, and carried out the first national infrastructure cyber security review. David leads on technical strategy for the KPMG cyber team, and helps clients deal with high end threats. He is a fellow of the British Computer Society, and was awarded an OBE for his services to national security post 9-11.
