Rob joined KPMG Australia from 1 April 2014 to lead the Asia Pacific Insurance Risk and Regulatory practice and continues to be KPMG’s Global Regulatory Lead for Insurance. An Executive Director with the firm, Rob has significant experience in regulation having developed the UK ICAS regime and leading the FSA’s Solvency II program. In addition, Rob has successfully led risk and capital transformation projects at the largest UK Life and Non-Life firms respectively. Rob has provided strategic, technical and management advice and assistance to the Association of British Insurers for their Solvency II program, drafted the CRO Forum paper on Recovery and Resolution Plans (RRP) and leads KPMG’s global response for insurance on systemic risk issues. Rob is currently engaged in an RRP engagement for a global reinsurer and has undertaken the resolvability analysis of a large UK insurance group. Rob is also currently engaged in leading the design of a new risk-based regulatory framework for the Hong Kong insurance regulator and for the East African Community Secretariat.
