Global Head of People, Performance and Culture
Rachel is the Global Head of People, Performance and Culture. Rachel is currently based in London, UK, having returned from a 3-year secondment to Hong Kong. Rachel studied Politics at the University of Durham and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1993. Rachel’s clients have included Standard Chartered Bank, Nestlé, Allied Domecq, Pinewood Film Studios, VSEL, Superdrug, Allied Domecq and Nestlé. She was appointed as Head of People for KPMG in the UK in 2003. During this time the firm won the Sunday Times ‘Best Big Companies to Work For’ Award three times and was awarded a lifetime achievement award in 2009.
Rachel is an active participant in a number of key corporate and social responsibility agendas. She has served on the UK Board of Enactus and Business in the Community’s Race for Opportunity. She recently served as a non-Executive Director of the UK Government’s Department of Energy and Climate Change. She is an Advisory Council member of the Prince of Wales’ Accounting for Sustainability Project. In 2007 Rachel was recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Rachel has also been featured in HR Magazine’s most influential practitioner list and Personnel Today’s ‘Top 40 Power Players’ list. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England & Wales) and the Institute of Personnel Development. Rachel is married with three young children.
