Senior/Asisstant Manager, Legal Operations

Location: Hochiminh

Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) of Deals, Tax and Legal (“DTL”) and Head of Legal.
The Operation Legal Officer is responsible for day-to-day issues in relation to operation of KPMG Legal in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a smooth flow of operations within the office and ensure efficiency at all levels;
  • Provide analyses and reports to facilitate legal management decision making;
    Assist the monthly leadership meeting, follow up management decisions and action points;
  • Track monthly performance of Legal practice and provide relevant action plans from Operation perspective
  • Provide the recap on budget achievement tracking, financial performance, summary of people issues
  • Assist Legal leadership and COO with both financial and headcount budget quarterly and annually
  • Ensure the monthly follow up of WIP management, timely billing and timesheet hygiene with Legal staff (at all levels);
  • Support and provide trainings to Legal staff (at all levels) on financial and engagement KPIs, risk and compliance matters to promote compliance culture across Deals-Tax-Legal functions;
  • Coordinate with shared service (Finance, Marketing, HR, Admin) on relevant activities for Legal;
  • Initiate and coordinate with Innovation team to build up a practical and efficient working environment;
  • Monitor admin works for legal and manage legal secretary team;
    Other tasks assigned by Legal Leadership and COO;


  • Your education and prior work experience should include:
    Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least three years of working experience in a relevant position in a multinational company
  • Very strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills (both Vietnamese and English)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  •  Self-starter and detail-focused
  • Confidence in dealing with senior management level
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Ability to work on projects and assignments as a team and individually
  • Flexibility in working overtime when deadlines need to be met
