Head of Platform Business

Location: Hochiminh

 

About position :  

This position will be responsible to lead the platform end-to-end, from product development to go-to-market efforts, including identifying, developing, implementing and driving commercial programs that attract new paying clients, upgrade current paying clients, and strengthen relationships with loyal clients. The Role will also develop and win new strategic partnerships that will fuel the platform’s growth in the future.

 

Key Deliverables:

• Commercial strategy: working closely with Management team and Function Heads/ LoB Heads to develop commercial strategy.

• Commercial products: working with the Markets/ Marketing team to develop, launch, and be in charge of the commercial success of Sales-driven solutions targeting high paying clients in key verticals. 

• Sales tools/system and performance: working with Sales Operations and Account team to oversee new customer acquisition, upgrading current paying customers and strengthening relationships with loyal customers to ensure key Sales targets are met; overseeing Sales tools/system including: CRM, Data Dashboards, Reporting and Market Updates.

• Business Development: working with Management team and relevant Functions/ LoB to identify, develop, and win value chain partnerships that are key to the platform’s growth. 

 

Core Competencies:

• Proven track record implementing and optimizing customer-facing strategy for an online/platform business; experience in e-commerce or subscription-based services a plus

• Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data, drawing insights and using them to build a business case

• Industry-leading negotiation skills and demonstrated success in achieving strong outcomes

• Ability to influence and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

• Ability to work autonomously with high standards and excellent follow-through

• History of driving change supported by data and solid business rationale

• Strong knowledge of Vietnam’s digital economy value’s chain

 

Requirements:

• 5+ years relevant experience in leading sales or marketing or commercial effort for online/ platform businesses

• Excellent business acumen and analytical skills. 

• Strategic thinker who loves finding creative solutions to hard problems

• Strong interpersonal skills and proven history of effectively collaborating with and influencing diverse range of stakeholders

• Ability to make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines

• Bachelor’s degree from a selective undergraduate institution, MBA preferred

• Fluent English & Vietnamese speaking and writing skills
